Upsilon Sigma Omega Chapter
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1908, on the campus of Howard University. It is the oldest Greek-letter organization established in America by black college women. Its membership approached two hundred thousand women in the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa.
From the beginning, the founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority had a vision. They envisioned a great organization of black women, dedicated to the ideals and principles that were set forth by their forefathers. Today, we list among our members, physicians, teachers, accountants, writers, artists, politicians, and others.
